It is a good idea to label their gear

*Atom is sponsored by McDonalds and they will provide hockey jersey's at the beginning of the season- they are yours to keep!

*If socks are not provided by the sponsor, they will need to be purchased at an additional cost- team manager will make these arrangments

*The season typically starts mid October and ends mid March

*U11 is part of the EK League- this will consist of a teiring tournament in October (date and location TBD each year by the EK league) as well as league play throughout the season and then a banner tournament in March (date and location TBD by Ek League). Travel will be required for the games typically to Fernie, Elkford, Creston, Invemere, Golden and Whitefish-please have your travel documents ready!

**EK schedule will be created after the tiering tournament. For details on the EK structure, click Here or visit the Managers Hub of our website.

*In addition to the above EK league tournaments and games, teams can also participate in TWO out of town tournaments per season as well as host one home tournament if ice allows. They can also attend the Kimberley tournament as a second 'home' tournament.

**Recreation hockey is meant to be affordable and accessible for all familes - please keep this in mind when choosing the locations for out of town tournaments and games**

*Fees for any exhibition games scheduled outside the previously alloted ice time is to be paid by hosting team.

*Each away tournament will have a fee that will be paid by the attending teams, divided by # of players attending.

*U11 can also request to host a home tournament if ice allows

*Parents are expected to volunteer for check in, clock/score keeping and other roles (fundraising, concession, raffle table, 50/50) during games and tournaments as needed
