Covid Vaccine Check In Information

Updated Nov 4th 2021

To meet the newest Interior Health Guidelines in Cranbrook, Kimberley and Canal Flats rinks, CMHA has adopted the following regulations for practices and games.

While we understand that this decision may not please everyone, we’ve chosen to align ourselves with majority of other community facilities within our region.

Please note that Full Vaccination means that you must have already received your second dose.

Regulations Surrounding Spectators, Players and Volunteers

  • Practices and Games-Proof of Full Vaccination required as Mandated by Interior Health

o Proof of 'full vaccination' means you have received both your doses.

For more information from Interior Health, please click the link. Provincial and regional restrictions - COVID-19 | Interior Health

o Spectators ages 12 to 18 - Required to produce proof of full vaccination only.

Players do not need to show proof of vaccine

o 18 and up - Required to produce proof of vaccination and photo id. This includes coaches, managers and all volunteers etc

Please remember that this is not a regulation that CMHA has created but we are required to abide by it. ZERO tolerance for any abuse of the volunteers at the door. If we are informed of any, it will be immediately and strictly handled. For an outline of our Covid Disciplinary Guidelines, please click Here

Also, a reminder that masks must be worn in the rinks by anyone over the age of 5, including the penalty boxes volunteers, and score sheet/time clock area. Even if this is not required at other rinks that you travel to, we highly encourage that they still be worn.

Contact tracing NOT required

o Allowed to have up to 50% of the arena capacity as spectators

o Spectators must always remain seated and avoid congregating. Exceptions will be made for accessing the washroom facilities.

* We will require 1 Covid Ambassador from each team to monitor the door for the duration of the game. They need to ensure that all who enter have a valid vaccine passport (anyone aged 12 and up) and photo identification (anyone over 18)

o For best practice it is recommended that vaccine passports be scanned using the free BC Vaccine Card Verifier App.

Thank you for abiding by these new restrictions. We hope that this will lead us to a more normal season of hockey for the kids.

Thank you to all our volunteers for doing your part in keeping out kids on the ice!
